  1. Audit your AI-generated content now, not after a manual action. If your brand has published content at scale using AI without editorial review, subject matter expert input, or original research, that content is now formally at risk under Google's spam policies. Prioritize auditing content that ranks and gets cited in AI responses first.

  2. Treat your domain like a citation portfolio. Every piece of content published under your domain affects your AI citation eligibility. Contributor content, sponsored posts, and partner articles are all potential site reputation abuse vectors. Review your editorial standards accordingly.

  3. E-E-A-T is now your GEO baseline, not your ceiling. Demonstrating experience, expertise, authority, and trust is no longer just good SEO hygiene. It is the minimum threshold for AI response inclusion.   4. Monitor AI citation eligibility separately from rankings. A page can rank well and still be excluded from AI Overviews.
